Moon Phase Observation Lab
Looking for an observational and research lab involving the lunar phases? This is the one for you! This lab begins by having students observe the phases of the moon for 5 days and complete a table on their observations. Students are encouraged to take pictures of the moon as well to include in their observations, although they can choose to insert pictures form a search instead. Next, students will research online to determine how the moon will look up to 20 additional days. Finally, students will be guided to consider how the phases occur in a question and answer section.
This product provides a PDF version that is compatible with the Easel tool as well as links in the PDF to download a digital deck version for students to complete the activities using the Microsoft or Google platform.
