Description

Teaching Style- Mood and Tone through Music

Hello and welcome to Lazy Sundays! In my experience, students LOVE this STYLE activity because it incorporates current pop songs by artists they are familiar with and enjoy!

The package includes 10 song links from YouTube along with a student response format worksheet that can be used for all of the songs included. A compare/ contrast brief response is required at the end of each activity.

*** Speakers are absolutely required for this activity as well as access to YouTube.

You may provide students with the Mood/Tone Word Guide or require students to brainstorm their own words before beginning the activities. A blank student response worksheet for Mood/Tone words is provided.

An exemplary Answer Key is provided for one of the compare/contrast activities (Since student responses will vary, use the provided key as a GUIDE for the work they submit.)

*** A bonus activity pertaining to lyric analysis is included for Adele’s song “Hello” as well as a suggested answer key.
