Montessori Lower Elementary Science Scope & Sequence
Description
Have you been struggling with planning out a 3-year science curriculum? This scope and sequence can help guide your science topics in the classroom. This is a scope and sequence I have used in my Lower Elementary classroom that has proven to be thorough, well thought out, and interesting to my students. This scope and sequence provides 3 levels (for each "year" in the lower elementary classroom) to help differentiate between different levels and build upon a spiral foundation. There are 7 subject areas (such as botany, astronomy, etc.) that help focus your science studies on "about a month" time span through your school year. Within each subject area, there are 3-4 "key concepts" or frameworks for lessons per year in lower elementary. Please check out the preview to get a sample preview of one of the subject areas and key concepts included. This scope and sequence does not provide individual lessons per key concepts to allow you the creative teaching freedom!
