Description

Looking for a way to expand your unit on Australia? Make fairy bread in your classroom. A lovely side dish enjoyed in Australia and around the world. A delicious recipe for the special education/life skills classroom. Also would be great for early childhood. I have used this exact recipe to cook with my Primary Pre-K class. There are visual/picture ingredient and tool (utensil/equipment) lists, as well as visual/picture supports at each step of the recipe.

This lesson offers brief history lesson about the origins of fairy bread

Great for special diets - no use of peanuts or oils

Contents:

an essay about the origins of the recipe

visual ingredient list – can use as a shopping list, too

visual ingredient strips

visual tool/utensil strips

visual recipe step strips
