Money Activities Coin Craft Great For Presidents Day Too

There’s nothing like a “hands on” craftivity to get my students excited about learning something new.

With that in mind, I designed this "Money Matters Mobile" as a super-fun way to learn to identify the fronts and backs of coins, the name of the coins, who's on them, and their value.

My Y5s absolutely LOVED this project and our hallway display turned out awesome. We got lots of compliments, which helped build self esteem too.

I’ve also included coin templates for the half dollar and dollar.

I scanned in a real dollar bill, then adjusted it to use as a header for our mobile giving our “dangler” a bit more color.

The coin graphics are excellent and very realistic.

Adding a school photo to the middle, gives it that finishing touch.

Since we really begin our study of money in February the “Money Matters Mobile” makes a nice Presidents' Day activity too.
