Description
When learning a language and culture, it can be extremely rewarding to look at the crafts that are a part of both. Molas are a beautiful artform that come from the Guna, formerly known as the Kuna*. This webquest is perfect for introducing the people and their creation.
✱In 2011, the group formerly known as the Kuna or Cuna, changed to be officially known as Guna. The change was made for spelling purposes because the letter "k" does not exist in the Kuna language. However, the pronunciation does not change. If you are interested in learning more, here is an article that you may like- ¿Guna, kuna o cuna?
Components explored:
❔Who are the Guna and where are they from?
❔What caused their name to change from Kuna to Guna?

❔What inspires mola design?
