    Description

A collection of all four performance tasks in the Water Wars Performance Task Bundle. Students will model with quadratic functions in vertex and standard form in order to model the height of a water balloon thrown by four different people.

Students will have to use their knowledge of quadratic functions in order to determine the initial height of the balloon, the maximum height, the time it takes to hit the ground, and the time interval during which the balloon's height is decreasing. They will also answer questions that involve determining and interpreting the domain and average rate of change of the function.

Multiple Entry Points: Students can use a variety of algebraic approaches to help answer the questions, or they can use the table and/or graph paper provided to take a more visual approach.

Rubric is included so that students understand how they will be graded.

Answer Key is included for each task with all work and explanations.
