Thirty-eight teachers have purchased this product which deals with the issue of Nuclear Proliferation. This issue can be conducted using a Model UN format or otherwise.
Nuclear Proliferation topics would include: What to do about North Korea? Is it possible for the globe to become nuclear free? How do governments around the world feel about Russia and the US having over 90% of the nuclear weapons on the globe? What to do about Israel which has nuclear weapons, but doesn't admit it? Will the nuclear deal with Iran be successful? There are many more controversial topics.

I ran a Model UN conference for 19 years. At one point, we were getting about 400 students for a one day MUN conference. (South Kingstown, RI Model UN) This topic, nuclear weapons, was one of our most "electric: topics, generating great debate.
When using it in class, I'd recommend the following:
I'd give each student a country to represent before they learn about Nuclear Proliferation: USA, China, Israel, Pakistan, India, UK, France, Russia, etc. We would then learn about Nuclear Proliferation using a power point and guided notes (included). Students can ask questions as a representative of their country (right hand up), or as a representative of their own brain (left hand up) When we get to the present, we have a mock UN style debate regarding current Nuclear Proliferation topics, where students represent their assigned country.

Note: You do not have to be Physics literate to understand the power point information.
An objective test is included, which can easily be amended depending on the ability of the students. I also include Model UN Rules and procedures if you choose the MUN format.
I estimate that it will take you about 90 minutes if you merely convey the information in the power point. On the other hand, if you involve the students in discussion sand/or simulation, it could take 2 to 4 hours.
Here is a list of my Model United Nations products. They are listed according to how user friendly they are. Capital punishment is first because (a) students already know many arguments on all sides of the issue; (b) it is easy for students to uncover the policies of their country; (c) I present many topics to discuss;
(d) I present an actual UN resolution on the topic, with a list of how every country voted. The Kurdish issue is # 12 because you have to know a fair amount about the Middle East to debate that topic.
