Slide presentation for middle school chemistry and accompanying guided student notes included. It covers the vocabulary: Mixtures, Solutions, Pure Substances, Compounds, Elements, Suspension, Solute, Solvent, Solubility, Insoluble, Mixtures, Homogeneous, and Heterogeneous. In the beginning, Atoms, Matter, and Molecules are briefly mentioned, but a little background knowledge on those may be necessary. The presentation includes MANY pictures and concrete examples of concepts.
Included, there is a matching black and white (no pictures) student PowerPoint, with blanks created in the text. This allows students to follow along, word-for-word, and fill in as they go. I print these as "Handout." The printing directions to accomplish this are in the "notes" section of the first slide.
