Description
Teaching which blood types are compatible should be more than just having students memorize a chart. Learning the science behind the chart can be complicated but necessary for full comprehension and retention.
This lab begins with a brief overview of antigens and antibodies. Students will use their knowledge to then simulate blood transfusions with each "blood type".
Materials needed to complete the lab are kept to a minimum in order to be cost-effective (cups, food coloring and spoons are all you will need!)
