What educators are saying

I'm currently teaching a summer enrichment psychology course where students are technically required to do any work, yet all the students were so engaged in this! I wish I had more time to use this in my AP course during the year! It's great.
Great hands-on activities to help students understand the mirror neuron. It was hard to find resources on Mirror neuron and I am so glad to have it here!

In order to deepen their understanding of neurons and empathy, students will explore mirror neurons (neurons that fire not only when we do something, but also when we observe someone else do the same action) through emotions. This activity should be completed after students have a basic understanding of neurons and the nervous system.

Include:

  • 6 sets of images displaying different emotions
  • Emotion notes
  • Experiment setup diagram
  • Experiment notes
  • Reflection questions
  • 6 video links for conducting the experiments
