HOW TO USE THE TASK CARDS:

Calm Down Strategy Cards (Printable)

This activity target a variety of skillsets and uses for teaching. These cards can be used in calm down stations for de-escalation. The cards can also be used for teaching activities! See below for some examples for teaching activities using these cards! This product can be laminated for multiple uses!

MULTIPLE TEACHING ACTIVITIES:

• Matching Game: Matching picture to picture, word to picture, Simon says, follow the leader
• Receptive language: Finding the correct picture when strategy is read aloud
• Motor imitation: Practicing the coping strategies by acting them out together (work on this when the student is not escalated)

**It is helpful for skill acquisition when students and clients practice the desired skill on a variety of occasions!**
