Description

This multi-age curriculum for young children focuses on mindfulness strategies. It creates space for children to practice sit spot (a way to meditate in nature) that is developmentally appropriate. It includes creating tactile objects that can help children calm their bodies down while they have unwelcome feelings visiting. It also covers calming strategies that regulate the body using breath and touch. It is structured in The Create Space Curriculum's "Read, Make, Move, Reflect" process. Each day's learning includes a literature recommendation, a hands-on "Make" activity, an idea for movement, and reflection for a deeper understanding through a writing and math prompt.

Understand that each successive number name refers to a quantity that is one larger.
