57 Adapted Science Units Special Education High/Middle School Science Curriculum

This Special Education Curriculum Bundle for Science includes 57 adapted science units developed for students taking alternate assessments in special education settings.

These units were created using the extended state standards for students who:

• Have an intellectual disability
• Are early or non-readers
• Lack prerequisite skills
• Benefit from picture support
• take alternative assessments
• middle/high school

Each unit is supported by a book (PowerPoint) that teaches the necessary information, as well as group and individual activities.

The similar format will help reduce students' anxiety, as the activities will be familiar to them. This will allow them to focus more on the content than on how to complete the activity.
