Description
Middle School Writing Rubric for grades 6 - 8. This rubric has four categories: ideas, organization, style, and conventions. This general writing rubric can be used for both creative and expository writing. There are five possible points in each category for a total of 20 points, and students and teachers can easily understand what is required. There is a place for students to write their name and teacher's name, and then students can evaluate themselves and turn in the rubric with their work. The 20-point scale is easy to translate into a percentage. The bottom of the rubric has room for comments and teacher feedback and grade.
Editable for your own classroom use. Please see preview.
