    ⭐Full Text Version of Story: A full text version of "The Story of an Hour" by Kate Chopin is included. There is space on the side of the text for student notes and annotations. No need for hauling out your literature anthology - everything you need is included!

    ⭐Step by Step Close Reading Instructions: These guide your students through the process, so they know exactly what to do at each step. Easy to follow and implement!

    ⭐Close Reading Activities for First, Second, and Third Read: A separate page of activities for students to complete during their first, second, and third read of the story are included.

    ⭐Comprehension Question Posters: Two separate comprehension question posters are included. Students use the templates to answer key details and literary elements found in the text.     Outdoor Learning Activity - Nature Walk and Letter Writing - Earth Day Activity

    ⭐Outdoor Appreciation Nature Walk Activity Card: This comes in a full size teacher version and smaller student versions. This activity card asks students to head outside on a nature walk and explore their outdoor space with their 5 senses. After exploring and writing down their ideas, students write thank you letter or postcard to nature, showing what they appreciate about the great outdoors.

    Idea Generation Templates: Two different templates are included for students to record information about what they have learned about the great outdoors by using their 5 senses.

    Nature Letter Writing Pages: 2 different letter writing templates, in 2 different sizes, have been included for students to write good copies of their letters to nature. In these letters, students write about everything they appreciate about the outdoors.

    Postcard Template: A fun postcard template had been included, in case students would prefer to write postcards instead of letters. On the front of the postcard, space is provided for students to illustrate their favorite things about nature.

    Reflection Template: A page for students to reflect on the activity is included. This is a great addition to a nature journal!

    BONUS - Outdoor Learning Information: Two pages all about Outdoor Learning and the benefits of taking students outdoors is included. This is a great way to help justify your time outside!

    BONUS - Outdoor Learning Journal Cover: A bonus cover page for student journals has been included.

    BONUS - Outdoor Sit Spot Information and Cards: Several pages on the benefits of outdoor sit spots for quiet nature reflection have been included, as well as writing prompt cards. These can be used throughout the year, and are a great way to reflect on different seasons!
