What educators are saying

I ended up using the DBQ as warmups every day and it worked really well introducing the information. For pyramid I had the kids add drawings to help them understand.

Description

Resources includes guided notes on feudalism with diagrams to help explain the abstract concept to students. Also included is a "mini DBQ," or four documents about the pros and cons of manorialism. The assignments prompts students to write about two benefits and two drawbacks of manorialism. Included in the assignment are sentence starters for struggling writers using the TIED system (Topic sentence, Introduce evidence, Evidence, Discussion). This lesson is good for middle school and early high school students who are just starting to learn how to write about historical documents.
