Our MS did a play with a zombie apocalypse this year and we had to read this. They loved the song and story and some of my student/actors played "Mi novio es un zombi" in the theater prior to each show.

Mi novio es un zombi is a hilarious song and a fan favorite in my classroom! It's 80's fabulous and so much fun to sing!
This product will introduce your students to the backstory, the song lyrics and high frequency vocabulary, perfect for Halloween!
This product includes:
- Detailed instructions for using this in a Spanish 1 classroom
- The backstory (1 page front and back) with key words highlighted at the top of the page and emojis to aid comprehension. This story targets the following structures with strategic repetitions:

-le dice-she/he says to her/him
- Instructions and questions to play The Lucky Reading Game with the backstory
- CLOZE activity for song lyrics and multiple suggestions to get your students singing in class
- Illustration Review Activity
- Story extension worksheet: Students use the opinion sheet to decide what happens after she tells the world that her boyfriend is a zombie
- Prompts to guide class in creating the ending and prequel using the Write and Discuss technique
It's best to spread these activities over a few class periods, rather than trying to do them all one day.
