This is very well done with great information and beautiful presentation! My students liked reading about Mexico's Independence Day.
My students enjoyed using this as a newspaper type reading. We ended up creating a Who? What? When? Where? Why? with it.

This Spanish article is written about Mexico Independence day.
It discusses the events that led to Spanish control over the indigenous people led by Hernan Cortez.
Three centuries later Napoleon invaded Spain. This motivated many of the Criolles to start a revolution. The war was started by Father Hidalgo when he rang a bell and called that everyone would fight.
Also briefly read how "el grito de dolores" is still celebrated today in Mexico as they shout "Viva Mexico!"
