What educators are saying

My 11th and 12th grade Psychology class enjoyed this project. The posters they made from it are hanging on the walls of my classroom as I type this :)
Used it with my 12th grade Anatomy and Physiology class as part of the brain and nervous system unit. Great project

Description

This project can be used as part of a Psychology Unit and also has strong tie-ins with material covered in a Brain and Nervous System Unit. In the project students will select, from a provided list, a mental health disorder to study. Students are then given a detailed list of information to find on their disorder and are asked to present their findings using words and diagrams in either a poster or digital format. An easy to use teacher marking scale/rubric is provided.

Students will work independently and in my experience the project takes 2 or 3 class periods to complete. This is an excellent, easy to use project resource for classroom teachers. Also, the simplicity with which it is worded and presented also makes it an ideal resource for distance learning situations and for substitute teachers who may not have a strong science background.
