This project has four parts:

1. WebQuest on the design and symbolism of three memorials (KEY INCLUDED)

2. Student-written description of the memorial the student wishes to create and for whom

3. Student creative depiction of memorial (choices are included)

4. Works cited page of source used to research memorial subject

The packet includes:

1. WebQuest with links provided on the Washington Memorial, the Ground Zero 9/11 Memorial, and the Smithsonian African American History Museum.

2. Directions and outline for writing the description of the student-created memorial (Link to a student example)

3. List of choices for the creative depiction (Link to a student example)

4. Rubrics for the written portion, creative portion, and works-cited page

5. List of possible events and people with two visual examples (see thumbnail)
