Description
Requires computer access and a copy of National Geographic's Origins: Spark of Civilization (episode 1). p.s. I bought the one episode from Amazon Video.
Students read bios and snippets of primary sources about Prometheus and Hephaestus, in English, and answer both comprehension and higher level thinking questions about what they've read. Students then watch the Nat Geo episode and answer questions about how fire helped mankind; tying history and science to mythology.
Caution: Read through the websites beforehand. There are one or two small "adult" moments in the primary sources.
