What educators are saying

I had my 2nd graders measure each section with a ruler. I printed it on astrobright paper and they turned out cute. Thanks!

Description

This resource is both a measurement activity and a cute craft! Copy the half sheet on green construction paper/ copy paper or have students color the rectangles shapes themselves. They then cut them out and construct a tree shape with the five rectangles. These are placed then glued onto a background page which has a star and trunk to color as well. I use this project to assess my students on ordering by size from shortest to longest then display them as a holiday craft. *Tip~ A sample is included to show students how to leave a small space between the green pieces. Placing the pieces first and then gluing will help so that the pieces are correctly ordered before adhered.
