Mathventure: ALGEBRA Into the Wild

Ultimate Algebra Unit Simulation!
Overview:
An interactive unit that incorporates activities promoting algebraic thinking and reasoning. Working in whole class, small group/pairs, and individual situations, students explore algebra as they take a simulated trip to the zoo. There is a total of 14 mini lesson (PowerPoint SHOW format), 14 math labs, and 1-2 pages of independent work per lesson.

Your students will:
*Investigate equations, variables, patterns and functions
*Connect algebra skills with concrete materials through problem- solving situations
*Become familiar with algebraic language and display mathematical relationships through symbols, diagrams, tables, and graphs
