Math With Acting: The Farmers CONVERSIONS Real World Script

Math With Acting is a FUN way to introduce Real World Math problems
to students. It can be used to teach or reinforce mathematical concepts.
Math With Acting lends itself to differentiated instruction and
cooperative learning. It encourages active participation and is highly
interactive.

This episode focuses on converting different measurements. Students take on various roles, acting out a real world type scenario where farmers are converting their crop yields from one unit of measurement to another. For example, they must convert their wheat crop from bushels to gallons.

Other students follow along as numbers are calculated. There are several problems that relate to the scene that students can solve either on their own or in groups.
