This resource is to help students with their math vocabulary knowledge. This product includes a PDF of 36 flashcards (4 slides per page), a quiz that assesses math vocabulary knowledge, an answer key to the quiz, and tips for use (also included below). I recommend laminating these cards for durability.

This resource has been effective in my inclusion blocks and intervention groups. These cards should be printed and laminated for use during a math block or math intervention/RTI group. These cards are an awesome tool to help students "attack" word problems.

Here are some ideas on how to use these cards:

1. Drill your class with time trials (did you beat your time from yesterday?)

2. Math sort- DIvide a large piece of construction paper into 4 parts. Put each math operation in a block. Allow students to sort their cards.

3. Small group drill- Go around the table and ask students to use a complete sentence to identify the vocabulary word. For example, "Product means to multiply." If the student is correct, he/she can keep the card. If not, go to the next student. If it's missed three times, the teacher keeps it. The person with the most cards at the end of the game gets a prize.
