Math constructed response questions, where to begin in 3rd Grade? So what is constructed response? Constructed response in math requires the student to write a response as opposed to selecting a response. Constructed response items do require a more elaborate answer or explanation of the student's reasoning. Fortunately, multiple versions can be correct, sometimes allowing more chances for a correct response.
⭐️ WHAT’S INCLUDED?
This 23-page packet helps students practice answering brief Math constructed response questions and extended Math constructed response questions.
To review for year-end state testing, I would use constructed response questions examples. I tried to conserve paper and put two or more questions on a page. Students would cut out and glue itinto their interactive notebook.
⭐️ Interactive-Notebooking
In my class, we use interactive notebooks. This is simply a spiral notebook that we glue problems onto to practice constructed responses. This packet is designed to use throughout the school year, or as a comprehensive review before State testing.
⭐️ Standards
Some standards have multiple questions and others only have one. I have inserted a dark black line to indicate multiple sections on a page. Hopefully, this will help when making copies. I allow the students to trim each question and adhere with glue sticks only. I found that bottled glue is too wet and warps the pages. We practiced using a timer at the beginning of the year and they quickly became pros at assembling each page.
