I used this to help review before state testing. Students were engaged and excited to play bingo. I let my students work in pairs to help support learning.

Description

ANSWER KEY IS IN THE PREVIEW ATTACHMENT. I used this math bingo activity as a way to review before a test for unit rate, rate of change, proportions, and constant of proportionality. The students get to practice up to 24 problems and they don't even notice. The kids love it. But be prepared to give out prizes. I always give out a small price from the dollar store.

First print out each of the 8 sheets in excel one by one. Cut each page in the middle to form two bingo cards. Put each bingo card inside a plastic cover. Each pair of students will have 1 bingo card. This is a set for 32 students. All bingo cards are mixed. They will use two small whiteboards or clear boards or their notebook to write and show their work.They will use one dry erase marker to cross out the answer on the bingo card per pair. Pass them out at the beginning of class.

You will use the sheet in the "Upload Preview' that shows you all the math problems and the answers. Put it inside a clear plastic cover. You will randomly choose math problems, read out loud, and write them on the board. You can cross out the ones you select on your answer sheet with a dry erase marker. Give them 1-2mins to answer. Up to you. Tell them that they will take turns answering the question. After the 1 or 2mins are up, select a random student to tell you how to solve on the board. OR you can solve it and explain it. Do the same thing for the next question until they get 5 in a row they yell BINGO! Tell them you are looking for 5 winning teams. You will write their name on the board as they win 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th. You might run out of time and only get 1 or 2 winners. THAT'S FINE. All you want is for all students to practice.

You can give out whatever small gift to you prefer to each of the teams. One per student. I usually give out mechanical pencils, something they will use for your class. In the end have them erase the marks on the cards and have them pass it forward.

There will be A LOT of excitement. The kids get super competitive. Have fun and enjoy this activity!
