First of all, congrats on this special time in your life! Second, are you like me where all Maternity Leave Planners seemed to be for Elementary teachers? Well if you are a secondary teacher and going on maternity leave, this product is perfect for you!
I teach a total of 6 different preps at my high school. All but 2 of my classes are 9 weeks long. My maternity leave fell at the end of the 3rd 9 weeks and the beginning of our 4th 9 weeks. Because of these circumstances I had to make sure the long-term sub could take over at any point in my 3rd 9 weeks classes and begin my 4th nine week classes.
I did a lot of research on Maternity Leave and most information I found was for Elementary teachers, not Secondary teachers. Therefore after a lot of research, time, and effort I feel very confident leaving my classes to my long-term sub. I want to share what worked for me with my fellow secondary educators who too are in the same position as me.
