Description

Tired of the same old boring chapter summary worksheets and activities? Well, look no further!

This is a project that will work for any and all reading materials. Spice up independent and guided reading time with this amazing matchbook summaries book activity.

Simply print the packet and pass it out!

Students will attach all materials to a manila folder in the style of a book.

Each day after the class has read, simply hand them a summary insert sheet, have them cut it out, fold it, and attach it to their folder.

These unique foldable sheets have space for a chapter summary, a chapter cover image, a section for unknown or important words, and a page tracker.

Each student will also receive a blank Book Cover sheet and a Features of Literature back cover sheet.

The features of literature back cover page allows the class to keep track of important characters, track conflicts tacking place in the story, find figurative language found throughout the story, and determine their stories themes.

This is an outstanding end of the year activity or can be used for all books read in the class.

*Use during the completion of a shared reading piece. Assign each student their own chapter summary and complete a book study in a single period.
