What educators are saying
Description
This fun, short warm up or concluding activity reviews what the 95 Theses were and why Martin Luther created them and posted them to his church door.
It then presents a similar "Teacher's Theses" with humorous complaints a teacher might have about your school. Students then create their own theses with complaints they have about to school to help make a connection to Martin Luther's purpose for writing and posting the 95 Theses.
This is a very fun activity to review the "teacher's complaints" and have students share their complaints about school. It always makes for a fun transition to starting the Protestant Reformation in my class!
An editable Google Doc version of the activity is now also included with the download!
For an excellent companion activity, see this Protestant Revolution Pop Up Notes & Lesson Plan which reviews Martin Luther and other major Protestant reformers.!
