Description

While imprisoned in Birmingham, Alabama, Martin Luther King Jr. wrote a powerful letter defending his tactics and sharing his beliefs. Students will read a selected portion of the letter and answer questions regarding MLK's message. The questions have the students re-read the text, copy selected passages and interpret ideas. The questions guide the students to examine the text closely and are very specific to allow for deep understanding.
