Engage your students as they learn about the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., by creating an Interactive Digital Map of ten major events of his life, including locations. Your students will also view a brief biographical video about Dr. King, learn how to read a timeline and learn new vocabulary words associated with the Civil Rights Movement. No experience making a digital interactive map? No problem! Detailed videos model exactly how it's done, allowing your students to work independently! These activities can be completed either in Google Slides/Google My Maps or PowerPoint/Scribble Maps for Microsoft users.
