Recognize Martin Luther King Day with this fun class banner. It would be perfect as a research center activity to celebrate his birthday. Check out books from the media center and have them available in a center. You could also bookmark a few websites for your students and have them research. It makes for great follow up writing activity to a movie or book about Martin Luther King, Jr. You could also use it for Black History Month. Use it in your classroom however you would like. There are two choices of images to use for the research banner. One is a clip art picture of Martin Luther King, Jr. that students can color and the other is a black line photo image.

I have also included a red bow and a colored banner piece that can be used to finish out your display. Click on the preview to see a close up view of what is included.

An additional side of writing paper is also included that you can copy on the backside.

It also makes a perfect hallway or bulletin board display. Attach it to some yarn or ribbon and create a banner. You could also staple these to a board and not create banner of connected papers.
