HOW DOES THIS PACKET WORK?
1. Students will learn facts via PowerPoint slides filled with facts, timelines and information.
2. Students will be given reading passages that match the PowerPoint presentation
3. Students will write facts learned, first in list form.
4. Students will plan out their writing with scaffolded pages to organize reasons and examples.
4. Students will use what they have learned about MLK to write strong arguments about the integrity of MLK, Jr., by beginning with a STRONG HOOK.
5. Students will continue writing using reasons and fact-based examples to support their argument.
5. Students will write a STRONG CLOSING .
