Description

Ready to extend your Space Unit to include some creativity and hands on learning!

Take learning to the next level with an amazing STEM PBL in action—design your very own Mars Rover project. This exciting activity integrates Math, ELA, Technology, and Science at its core, taking education beyond the classroom and into deep space.

This includes a page in which students will design a diagram drawing of a mars rover, then students will create a 3D model of their rover using various materials that you have around your house or classroom (noodles, simple craft items).

These items "cost" money. Students need to decide which supplies they need, create a simple list of supplies with the cost of each item then they count out the money needed to purchase. This includes printable coins and paper money.

After that, they create a digital version of their rover or infographic (poster) that explains their rover. They are required to use various text features in their infographic. This is a great project to use with GT / Gifted and Talented students but simple enough to incorporate into a class for everyone.
