"Marie Antoinette" Movie Study Guide Questions

This is a study guide to aid students while taking notes during a showing of the Sofia Coppola movie "Marie Antoinette". I use this in my World History class when teaching about the French Revolution. The students love the movie because it has actors they recognize. The girls especially relate to Marie Antoinette, who, at the beginning, was a teenage girl not much different from them. It is 123 mins. and is rated PG-13. It definitely shows the decadence of Versaille leading up to the revolution, and I have had some great discussions with my students about the historical inaccuracies, and the way Coppola chose to portray Marie Antoinette. This study guide comes with 15 questions, the last of which requires students to use the official movie website to do a bit of extra research.
