This standards based, math and language arts program is perfect for the classroom, distance learning or homeschooling. It is structured in a way that is so easy to implement, and students can quickly become confident and independent with the standards that we are working on this month.

-- WHY THIS PROGRAM IS SO EFFECTIVE --

FORMAT

The format and standards stay the same for 1-2 weeks at a time. Students love that they know what to expect and can practice the same standard multiple days in a row. This saves you so much time not having to give directions every single day. It also makes this resource perfect for independent work time or morning work.

SEQUENTIAL

I target the exact skills we are working on at each point in the school year. Each week and month builds on the previous activities so students can successfully complete the activities on their own. Watch their confidence and independence grow!

MOTIVATIONAL

If you're using this program for homeschooling or distance learning, each day has the activities outlined for students with little pictures and stars to color. Students love to color their stars each day as they complete their given tasks. Parents appreciate how this program is organized because it is so easy to implement the daily activities and students know exactly what to expect.

HOMESCHOOL/DISTANCE LEARNING

To support your students and their families while they are learning from home, you can upload this file directly to your remote classroom or send via email to parents.

CLASSROOM USE

In the classroom, these printables are perfect for bell ringers, morning work or daily warm up/review. You do not need to use "My Tasks Today" page, simply copy the math and language arts activities front to back. It makes it so easy to make sure students are mastering the standards every single month for phonics, reading, writing and math.

STANDARDS BASED

This resource targets the first grade common core standards, but can be used for struggling second grade students or even high kindergarten students. The program closely aligns to almost all state standards as well.

DAILY TASKS

-------------------------

20 days are included, so students complete these activity pages each day. They are labeled Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, etc. and will take them through the entire month.

If you print this pack front to back, it only requires two pieces of paper each day.

PRIMARY LANGUAGE ARTS

This daily worksheet focuses on the exact first grade standards I teach in March. Each day students complete phonics, reading activities and writing. Students should generally be able to complete these on their own as it is intended for solidifying key standards.

What is covered this month? Possessive nouns, digraphs, long vowels, vowel teams, writing complete sentences, combining two sentences using a conjunction, using pronouns, and inflectional endings.

PRIMARY MATH

The daily first grade math page also focuses on specific standards we are working on in March. The format and standards stay the same for the entire week to build student confidence. If you're using this for distance learning or homeschooling, parents don't have to give detailed instruction every single day as the skills stay the same throughout the week.

What is covered this month? Solving for the missing subtrahend and addend, adding and subtracting ten within 120, filling in missing numbers on a number lines, skip counting, using a hundreds chart to solve problems, fact families, coins, and making equations equal.

DAILY READING LOG

Students are asked to read, or be read to, for 20 minutes a day. Then they fill out their daily reading log. This incorporates reading, writing, comprehension, illustrating and so much more.

Students complete the three activity pages each day as shown above, and then there are three blank spots on their daily task pages for you to add additional tasks/activities (optional).

-------------------------------------------------

OPTIONAL ADDITIONAL TASKS

-------------------------------------------------

I made the additional task and activity cards with both teachers and parents in mind! These are optional and parents can cut them out and glue them on to specific days as needed. It is a great visual and is very helpful so students can see what they are expected to do each day.

♦ Daily chores/home activities (parents will love these!)

♦ Additional school activities such as math facts, reading for 20 minutes, etc.

♦ Task cards that correlate with my November No Prep Pack

-------------------------------------------------------------------

WHAT MAKES THIS PROGRAM DIFFERENT?

-------------------------------------------------------------------

The standards change each week, and for the entire week students are practicing the same skills. This brings continuity and structure to each lesson, while building their confidence.

With constantly changing protocols, in class versus online instruction, etc., this program will bring consistency to your daily schedule to be sure students are practicing and mastering the standards every single day - regardless of their learning environment.
