March Calendar Craft and MORE!

Rainbows, gold, and leprechauns, abound in the month of March! But do you know that Ireland is one of the biggest producers of POTATOES? Bring in a sack of potatoes and have some FUN! You can grow a potato, paint with a potato, sequence potatoes from smallest to largest, and even discover: HOW MANY POTATOES TALL ARE YOUR STUDENTS? This is one of my favorite activities ever! By the way, I’m 21 potatoes tall!

Most importantly, your wee students will love taking home a huge POTATO MAN CALENDAR to share with family! This is a FUN and educational activity for both students and parents! I've included a parent letter explaining the skills to review daily with their children: COUNTING, NUMBER RECOGNITION, DAYS OF THE WEEK, AND MONTHS.

All children depend on structure and routine to make sense of their world. Each month my students can count on a new calendar coming home to share with family. They can't wait to see what the next month's calendar will be! Do you know what APRIL will be?

To add to the Theme, I’ve created calendar markers and a MARCH heading. Your class wall calendar will be adorable and a snap for you to put up! No need for tricks, download the MARCH calendar and bring a little luck and fun into your classroom.
