Manufacturing offers a wide array of STEM career opportunities, with nearly 1 million jobs going unfilled each year. Help your students understand what manufacturing is, and expose them to exciting careers in manufacturing with fun interactive digital activities!
In part one of this Manufacturing Career Exploration Webquest, students will discover what manufacturing is, why manufacturing is important, and research a manufacturing pioneer. In part two students will choose an object that relates to their favorite hobby (ex: basketball, pointe shoes, etc.) and research its manufacturing process. In part three students will use the Career In STEMĀ® Explorer to discover 10 cool manufacturing careers and find essential information - salary, summary of career, and required education. For each career students will also do a hands-on Try It activity - conduct a quality control assessment, do a mini welding scavenger hunt, and much more! Purchase includes:
