Man of La Mancha Viewing Guide

This is a question packet to accompany the film (or play) Man of La Mancha. Although intended for a Spanish class, all of the questions are in English and can be adapted and enhanced for a high-level literature class. The questions are intended to make sure that students are able to recognize characters, basic plot ideas, and basic themes that they see throughout the movie. At the end they are asked to compare and contrast a selection of two characters, which includes Don Quixote and Sancho, Don Quixote and Miguel de Cervantes, or Aldonza and Dulcinea. The packet also provides a bit of background information on the author and the Spanish Inquisition so students have background knowledge going in to the movie.
