Description
This lesson addresses how we all have to "stop, think and choose;" to make the right moral and ethical choices in life. The lesson discusses developing a moral compass, good choices and bad choices, asking yourself certain questions before making a choice of how to handle a situation, and assessing whether you made the right decision. Writing prompt, Assessment and answer key, group activity, individual student activity. Clip art, printables, no prep needed.

Learning outcomes:
Students will learn how to develop their own moral compass
Students will understand that "good choices" give you more of what you want in life because of doing the right thing, and that "bad choices" and their consequences give you less of what you want in life.
Students will comprehend that there are certain questions you should be asking yourself before you make a choice. Making sure the choice you make is the right one.
Students will understand that there is certain criteria that you can use as an assessment to determine whether you have made a good moral choice.
Students will understand the importance of "the ripple effect" of all of our choices
Students will learn what the steps involved in the decision making/problem solving process.
Assessment
Activity one is students writing down all of the decisions they made the previous day. Once the list is made the students are then asked to reflect on the results of the decisions they made the previous day.
Activity two is classroom group discussion. The class decides on a topic they might want to make a decision on and then discuss all of the positive and negative outcomes of the decisions discussed
