Making Words

Making Words is a BIG part of the younger grades and weekly centers, as it helps students understand letters and putting words together. Making words can be just as beneficial in the upper grades. This set of making words includes letters that can be used to make words that contain prefixes and suffixes.

ALL BONUS words are 10 letters long, as either a compound word, or includes a prefix, or suffix, and sometimes, BOTH!

There are 30 different Making Words weeks. The weeks do NOT have to be completed in order, and they do not get harder as the weeks progress. The words are numbered just to help with organization and to assist you with the KEY.

I use one word a week, and students complete the worksheet during their Daily 5/Tier 2 time. When the student is complete with the worksheet they can add the words up and have a grand total (because anytime we can add math is a plus!)

There is not a key for each word that can be made each week, because there are over 100 words that could be made each week.
