The video is absolutely fascinating. It helps students to understand the concept of "cold" (or lack of heat) and the concept of temperature as a "speedometer" of molecular movement. The host of the video interviews scientists who are doing amazing things with "cold," including saving lives by cooling bodies, saving communities in Alaska by preventing permafrost thawing, making superconductors, building quantum computers, and creating the "coldest place in the universe" in a science lab at MIT! It also covers the Kelvin scale and Bose-Einstein Condensate.
This worksheet will have your students paying attention and listening, as they fill in the blanks with the missing words while watching.
The answer key is included.
