Description

This set of visual inference prompt cards are a fun and engaging way of practicing the foundation skills of:

- Making observations

- Describing details

- Making inferences based on the details

… all just by using each picture as a guide. Perfect for your visual learners!

Included in this resource:

- 30 large image prompt cards (yellow) for whole group guided lessons... all individually numbered and differentiated for grade level.

- 30 small image prompt cards (pink), all individually numbered with each including guiding questions to demonstrate the thought process.

- 100 small color image prompt cards (blue) for small group work, pairs or individual work... all individually numbered. These pictures are all high interest and cover a wide range of subject matters.

- Anchor Charts – Giving clear explanations, structure & examples. There are 2 sets of explanation posters differentiated for grade level. K-4, Grades 5-6.

- Student Graphic Organizers – (Choice of 3 styles) For students to record their observations & inferences.

- Links to US Common Core Standards

- Links to Australian English K-10 Stage 3 Outcomes

- Instructions for use and setting up.

Simply copy, laminate and cut the image prompt cards and explanation posters and you are good to go! All cards are numbered and color coded.

# This resource is aimed at, but not limited to, Grades 4,5 & 6 as some of the small image prompt cards may bit difficult for younger kids.

# PLEASE NOTE - The blue set of image prompt cards - I intentionally refrained from using guiding questions for each image card. I feel guided questions limits the kids thinking to just answering the questions. This set allows the students complete freedom to infer.
