What educators are saying

Super engaging and easy to implement. We used bananas from the cafeteria and tested a whole lot of other foods. Other than cleaning the clips (LOL) I loved everything about this resource!
I have been using this resource with my fifth grade students as part of their STEM unit and they loved it, The instructions are clear and easy to follow.

Description

This download will help you plan your first classroom experiences with a Makey Makey. Using the Makey Makey in music class can be an exciting way to introduce musicians to STEAM learning. Makey Makey is an electronic invention tool that must be purchased separately.

In this download you will receive 3 tasks cards that can be placed in a Makey Makey workstation.
Task 1: Setting it up and testing it
Task 2: Experiment with the Bongos
Task 3: Experiment with the Makey Makey Piano

You will also receive 3 keyboard mats. I laminate these and the students lay their objects (Play Dough, bananas or whatever) on the notes that they will play.

This download also includes these following four songs. Each song is on its own colorful sheet. Use these with the Makey Makey to play songs on the Makey Makey piano on whatever objects you choose.
Mary Had a Little Lamb
Hot Cross Buns
Jingle Bells
Ode to Joy

A workstation sign and tips for using this download are also included. Please consider reading this blog post to learn more about how this download can be used in the classroom: STEAM in the Music Room: Makey Makey
