Using this Product in the Classroom

The Posters:

These posers are intentionally vague to be able to be used in your growing makerspace with a variety of materials and activities. Just print in color or blackline depending on your preference. They keep of focus on the process of utilizing the makerspace effectively and safely.

The Mini-Poster:

Use a Makerspace Certification activity for materials that need more direction! This non-editable blackline or color mini-poster can be printed and hung next to any materials in your makerspace that need a little "coaching" or safety advice for students to use it effectively and safely. In the middle of the mini-poster attach (tape/glue) a QR code that links to online support for the item. You can link already existing videos online, or make your own video simply using your phone and uploading to google drive.

User Tips:

*Use the posters as a basis for talking about expectations in your classroom maker area. If you are a novice to Makerspaces, these will be able to grow with you as you expand your materials.

*Use the bonus "Makerspace Certification Program" for your makerspace items. I use the small poster included and attach a QR code in the middle that links to more information about individual tools that need more guidance. Personally, I make short “how to” videos and have the QR code link to the video stored in my Google drive, but I could simply link to already made resources.
