Description
Students must make an expense budget and help plan a trip for a family of four. Websites will be given for students to research costs of rental car, mileage, gas, hotels, tickets for an amusement park, and food. A week long itinerary is given and a description of the family's needs. Questions will prompt students to calculate the costs of the trip. It concludes with a reflection on how the family could save money and any other costs they might need (like for emergencies). This could be suitable for younger students and all the way through a high school personal finance course.
