What educators are saying
This worked great as an additional resource to give my students who were struggling with the concept.
This was a great resource to practice both area and perimeter using the same worksheet. The shapes were well labeled and provided a good amount of both basic practice and more challenging pieces. This was a great resource at a great price for my 3rd graders.
Description
This worksheet gives students extra practice (8 shapes) finding area and perimeter of more complex shapes. They have to break these irregular polygons into smaller squares and rectangles.
Each shape has a missing side. It requires students to use the other sides to figure out the missing side.
Students also have a write a number model to show how they found the area and preimeter.
