MEDIA LITERACY INTERACTIVE NOTEBOOK | WITH CRASH COURSE VIDEOS
- Google Slides™
What educators are saying
Description
It is essential that our students are able to assess all different forms of media for reliability and accuracy. The Crash Course team and Jay Smooth have done an AMAZING job of covering the history and application of media literacy in a 12-video course. This product is an interactive notebook with guided notes that follow each video. In the end, students apply their knowledge and evaluate their own media sources.
This unit is best suited for high school English and Journalism classes, based on the content in the videos. Honestly, adults will learn so much from this course too!
You could choose to assign or show a video each day and complete this unit in about 2.5 weeks, or you could complete this unit over the course of several months with your students and watch a video each week. As students complete their notes on Google Slides they will have an excellent resource full of information about how to consume and create media responsibly. This will serve them well into adulthood.
